Biography

András Fricsay was born in Szeged/Hungary on April 2nd, 1942.
He grew up in Berlin/Germany and in Switzerland.

1959 - 1963 he  visited the school of arts and crafts " Ecole des Beaux Art, " in Geneva 1963 - 1966   student at the drama school "Max Reinhardt Seminar" in Berlin, Director Maria Körber

He played a variety of roles on German stages, plus in addition various film and television roles. also he worked as director of various opera-houses  and theatres.

Andras Fricsay worked also as director of different opera-houses and theaters.

He lived several years in Munich, Hamburg as well as in Berlin. Retired from his artistic duties since 2012, he resides in Switzerland.
